My FiveM server does not start anymore after I uploaded my server files

Overview

When migrating from another host, customers upload all files (including artifacts) into the root directory. This overwrites the required alphine folder and breaks the server.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Do NOT upload your whole fileset to the root directory.

Delete the default resources folder and overwrite it with your own resources.

Replace server.cfg with your own version.

Upload plugin-dependent extras such as permissions.cfg.

Update the database details inside your server.cfg.

Success

Only replace the folders you own (resources, extras). Leave the server system files alone.
