How to Reset Your FTP Password

Overview

If you lost your FTP password, you can generate a new one without contacting support.

Step-by-Step Instructions

<ol><li>Log in to the CyberNex dashboard.</li><li>Click the server you want to reset the (S)FTP password for.</li><li>Next to SFTP Details, open the hamburger menu and click Reset SFTP password.</li><li>Copy the new password from the SFTP details section and use it in your FTP client.</li></ol>

Warning

Subusers always use their own panel password for FTP - the SFTP reset only affects the owner account.
