How do I change my ARK settings?

Overview
Almost every ARK game setting lives in one of two config files.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Stop the server if it is online.

Open File Manager and navigate to ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/GameUserSettings.ini (or Game.ini).

Locate the setting variable you want to change.

Change the value and click SAVE CONTENT.

Start the server again.

Code / Configuration

# file locations /ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/GameUserSettings.ini /ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/Game.ini

Warning
Always stop the server before editing. The server overwrites these files when it shuts down, losing your changes.
