FiveM Server Requirements - Hardware & RAM Guide
Complete hardware requirements for FiveM servers. RAM, CPU, storage, and network needs for 32, 64, and 128 slot roleplay communities.
RAM by Player Count
32 slots with 20-30 resources: 4GB minimum. 64 slots with 40-60 resources: 8GB. 128 slots with OneSync Infinity and 80+ resources: 16GB+. FiveM loads all resources into RAM so more scripts = more RAM. Budget 50-100MB per resource and 15-25MB per player.
CPU Requirements
FiveM is multi-threaded - it benefits from multiple cores. Each resource runs in its own thread. 32-slot server: 3 dedicated CPU threads. 64-slot: 4-6 threads. 128-slot: 8+ threads. Single-core speed still matters for the main game thread. Ryzen 9 processors handle both high thread count AND single-core performance.
Storage Requirements
NVMe SSD is strongly recommended. Resource loading, database queries, and player connections all hit storage. On HDD, connection times are 30-60 seconds versus 5-10 seconds on NVMe. All CyberNex plans include NVMe SSDs.
Network & Bandwidth
50-100 Kbps per player for normal gameplay. 200-500 Kbps during high-sync scenarios (30+ players in one area). 32 players need 10-15 Mbps. 64 players need 20-30 Mbps. Our plans include 10 Gbps network uplinks. Latency matters more than bandwidth - global nodes ensure sub-30ms ping.
ESX vs QBCore RAM Usage
ESX: more RAM-hungry due to larger module count. 32-slot ESX with full module set needs 5-6GB. QBCore: lighter, same server needs 4GB. OX Core: lightest, 3-4GB. Choose your framework based on your budget and resource needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I host FiveM on 2GB RAM?
Only for testing with 1-2 developers. For any public server, start at 4GB minimum. Under-provisioned RAM causes crashes and disconnects.
Which is more important - RAM or CPU for FiveM?
Both. RAM loads your resources. CPU processes game logic. Our plans balance both - 4GB plan includes 3 CPU threads, 8GB has 4 threads, 16GB has 6 threads.
